Mont Belvieu, Texas Facility

Pure Salt’s Mont Belvieu facility is located on the Barber Hill Salt Dome.  The facility started up in 1999 with 77 acres of historically preserved flora.  Pure Salt’s brine is treated for naturally occurring carbonates and silicates. The treated brine is then pumped to the Baytown Plant via pipeline, which is 8.5 miles away.

At Mont Belvieu, solution mining of underground salt results in saturated brine production and cavern development.
